Centell - Centre for Enabling Leadership

The Centre for Enabling Leadership was created by its founder, Tom Jaap, to help leaders of organisations to “enable” their people. This can lead to increased business performance and a better quality of life for those who make the transition in style.

Much of the theory that the Centre practices has developed from Tom’s keynote book “Enabling Leadership” published in 1986 and updated in 1989.

Icknield House is the home base of the Centre and many people have had the opportunity to attend learning events and informal seminars at this delightful venue.

In the 1990’s the Centre’s activities were extended internationally, to the point now where the organisation’s assignments are truly international.

At the heart of our approach is an underlying belief in the potential of people and that with a positive and partnership approach, this potential can be realised.

The key is often changing the context with which people see the issues they face and giving them an insight into their current behaviour and the impact it has on others.

Centell works to impart the skills and insights to its clients in a way that makes them more self sufficient to handle the increasing rate of change we see today.
